Happy Victoria Day!
Hello everyone! We’re back! I’ve decided that I am giving up on trying to find a solution to our technical problem and develop a workaround. Just like in the wedding industry I suppose! Things come up on the wedding day that we can’t fix but we find the best work-around and go with it AND if I didn’t say anything, YOU would have never known about it! On twitter I would put #GreatWeddingPlanner after that last sentence.
Some of you are off for Victoria Day, a day that we observe in honour of the ‘Mother of Confederation’ Queen Victoria. It became official on May 24, 1901, the day she passed though Canadians had been celebrating it unofficially for years. There will be lots of fireworks scheduled for today, one I’d specifically like to mention is taking place at Ashbridge’s Bay Park (Lakeshore Blvd. East and Coxwell Ave.) tonight at 9:45pm.
Why is this one so special this year? Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall will be attending the presentation. Pretty awesome I think! If you go make sure to email us your photos! I’d love to share them! Giving credit of course. Another cool activity to take in while you’re waiting for this show, is to head to Fort York where according to City TV they will be celebrating the “175th anniversary of Victoria’s ascension to the throne at Fort York where kids can take part in authentic historic soldiers’ drills and tours of the site.” Have fun!
